Updated January 2004
Lecturer in Educational Technology within the School of Learning and Development. My main interests are in the realm of affordable and relevant classroom oriented technology.

I teach courses in basic audiovisual presentation techniques/resource production, computer literacy and Hypertext design.[some examples of student work]

My most recent computer adventures have involved putting the papers from several Faculty supported conferences on the web. This was undertaken using Adobe Acrobat applications. While the process seems simple, there were traps for young players and I would be interested to share with others using this form of web publishing. See below for a link to a simple experiment with a Web construction tool called MYRMIDON, from terrymorse.com. which seems an even simpler way of delivering word processing to the web. The experimental pages were originally word processed in ClarisWorks4.

I have a research interest in children's television and am in the process of developing a uses and gratifications analysis of the way the elderly relate to television.

My overseas experience includes working for Australian Aid projects in Thailand and the Philippines, as well as several trips to Thailand with groups of practice teaching students. Click on the thumbnails below.
